U.S. pastry chefs collaborate on holiday cookie box

Chicago – In honour of National Cookie Day on Dec. 4, a dozen top U.S. pastry chefs have joined forces to present a cookie box containing the chefs’ favourite holiday treats.

The box, being touted as “The Greatest Cookie Box of All Time,” is available for pickup in Chicago or for shipping in the U.S. this December.

The cookie box re-creates the personal favourite cookie recipes from James Beard Award winning bakers, nominees and contenders.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Women in Hospitality United.


It includes one of each of the following:

Homemade Oreo — Joanne Chang (Flour Bakery, Boston)
Molasses Cookie — Diane Moua (Bellecour Bakery, Minneapolis)
Coconut Drop — Lisa Ludwinski (Sister Pie, Detroit)
Sesame Cashew Bar — Maura Kilpatrick (Sofra Bakery and Café, Cambridge, MA)
Chocolate Chip Cookie — Dolester Miles (Highlands Bar and Grill, Birmingham, AL)
Almond Miso Cookie — Erika Chan (Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica, CA)
Egg Nog Snickerdoodle — Dana Cree (Pretty Cool Ice Cream, Chicago)
Scandinavian Gingersnap — Anna Posey (Elske, Chicago)
White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie — Felicia Mayden (Lovage, Chicago)
Grandma Bertha’s Mace Cookie — Leigh Omilinsky (Swift & Sons, Chicago)
Pink Grapefruit Gingersnap — Mathew Rice (Pink Door Cookies, Nashville)
