Solvay increases prices on vanillin and ethyl-vanillin
October 17, 2017 By Bakers Journal
Princeton, NJ — Solvay increased its vanillin and ethyl-vanillin prices by 15 percent across North America as of Oct. 1, or as contracts allow.
The price hikes are driven by increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs to produce Solvay’s vanillin and ethyl-vanillin.
As a global supplier of vanillin and ethyl-vanillin, Solvay Aroma Performance’s long-term ambition is to develop and maintain sustainable solutions which create ongoing value for its customers and final consumers, reported the company in a news statement.
Solvay sales teams will contact customers directly to discuss supply agreements reflecting the price increases.
