Ardent Mills developed its new Primo Mulino Neapolitan-Style Pizza Mix for making authentic, thin pizza crusts in the tradition of Naples, Italy, where the famous pizza is hand-tossed and baked quickly in extremely high-heat gas or wood-burning ovens.

The mix is made with a blend of select Canadian prairie wheat varieties and other functional ingredients so all you need to add is water and yeast, said Elaine O'Doherty, Ardent Mills' marketing manager, in a press release. It delivers a supple dough that bakes into a crust with a crisp exterior and delicate bite. In addition, it performs well with long fermentation and simple hand tossing.

“If you’re looking for an easy way to deliver traditional thin crust pizzas and flatbreads, Ardent Mills’ Primo Mulino Neapolitan-Style Pizza Mix is the ideal solution,” O'Doherty said.

The company has posted a demonstration video entitled “Italian Pizza in 60 Seconds” on its YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2rTfe6qgFo.
