Jan. 8, 2010, TORONTO – Pizza Pizza is testing family-sized delivery pasta at more than 20 restaurants in the Mississauga area.
Once preliminary consumer feedback has been addressed, Pizza Pizza will start serving pasta chain-wide, early this year.
The three new pasta dishes include ‘totelloni’ alfredo, tortellini’s jumbo cousin, filled with a blend of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan and romano cheese and baked in a creamy alfredo sauce; penne bolognese baked in a rich meat sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes; and macaroni and cheese baked in a creamy blend of aged cheddar, romano and parmesan cheeses.
“Pizza and pasta go hand-in-hand,” said chief marketing officer Pat Finelli. “The addition of pasta is a tasty next step that will add variety to a family’s order.”
Mississauga residents are encouraged to provide their pasta feedback in store, through the corporate website and on Pizza Pizza’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
