Fourth International Bread Symposium returns

The symposium is now accepting submissions for speakers to join the international panel of bakers and bread experts.

The fourth Annual International Symposium on Bread, returns on June 3 – 6, 2020, thanks to the generosity of Puratos, their Platinum Sponsor, and their returning sponsors.

The overall theme for this year’s symposium is The Future of Bread. This year will include a new focus, Disruption and the Disruptors, featuring an emphasis on game changing innovations that have major implications as bakers move into the future.

The symposium will return to their original model consisting of two days of ten dynamic presentations (five each day) followed by 20-25-minutes of Q&A. There will also be an optional third day of hands-on baking workshops based on the emerging themes from the presentations.

Proposals are now being accepted for speakers. If interested, please send a description of your topic that includes a one-page abstract, including its title, a short biography, and description of why you are uniquely qualified to speak on this topic.

Tickets for the 2020 Symposium will cost $400 for the 2 1/2 days of presentations (there will be an opening reception on June 3), and $125 for the hands-on workshops (only ticket holders for the presentations will be eligible for the hands-on workshops).
