Puratos to host bakery symposium

August 4, 2011, Toronto – Puratos will host the Toronto International Bakery Symposium on Sept. 20.
The event, which will run from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm, will be held at Toronto's The Old Mill Inn.
Speakers will include:
- John Hale, director of product appraisal and customer care for Sobey's Inc., on the importance of sensory analysis to improve quality and perception of products;
- Frederik Lievens, business unit bread improvers director for Puratos Belgium, on global innovations in bakery and how the North American industry can capitalize on these trends; and
- John Riker, MD Blue Ocean Strategy, to introduce Blue Ocean Strategy/Value Innovation logic and tools and illustrate how to reconstruct new market space and create new capture demand.
