Three injured at Corbion Caravan manufacturing facility in Kansas

Caravan's Kansas City manufacturing facility experienced an explosion in the
early morning hours today.

The explosion occurred around 1:30 am on the 4th floor of
the 7-story facility located at Kansas Ave. and I-635. Three Corbion Caravan
employees were injured as a result of the explosion and two are receiving
treatment at a local area hospital. The third has been released.

The Kansas City area fire crew and emergency personnel were
on the scene in minutes and wrapped up their work around 2:45 am.

A full investigation is underway into the cause of the
explosion. Corbion Caravan press information stated the company does not expect
any business disruption to our customers as they have back up inventories and
expect the facility to be fully operational within the next 24 to 48 hours.

The Kansas Avenue manufacturing facility produces dry blend
ingredients for sale to the bakery, food, and beverage industries.
