Puratos acquires Pennant Ingredients

Puratos recently acquired Pennant Ingredients, a provider of specialty bakery products and solutions to North American quick service restaurants, foodservice and retail in-store bakery channels.

Pennant Ingredients is a large baked goods supplier for the foodservice and retail markets operating in the U.S. Puratos offers solutions for the bakery, patisserie and chocolate markets.

“This acquisition will allow us to increase our positioning in North-America, especially in the foodservice,” said Daniel Malcorps, chief executive officer of Puratos, in a news release.  

With more than 70 years of expertise in producing and delivering ready-to-use mixes and toppings, Pennant Ingredients, which is located in Rochester, NY, generates more than $70 million dollars in sales and employs 100 people.
