Bryana Ganong belongs to the fifth
generation of the Ganong family,
a maker of chocolate and confectionery
products
that operates its only manufacturing facility
in St. Stephen, N.B.

“Bryana’s experience and expertise will
help meet the continued growth and success for the Ganong and Sunkist brands
that have made this company a household name,” said board chair Hubert
Saint-Onge, in a news release. “Bryana's proven record of leadership, strategy
development, customer service, team building, financial and relationship
management will continue to guide us through an ever changing global
environment, while ensuring the strong New Brunswick and Canadian roots that
built this company are never far from our minds.”

Since joining the company on a full-time
basis in 1997, Ganong has worked in a variety of roles throughout the
organization including R&D, product development, contract manufacturing, marketing
and public relations. Her most recent role before this change was that of vice-president
of business development and brand marketing.

“I’m excited to assume this role as we
continue to position our company for continued growth and expansion,” said
Ganong in the release. “Growing up in this business has given me a foundation
of experience and values that I know will be extremely helpful as we continue
to expand our markets, our reach and our product development. I look forward to
working with our strong team, our customers and our board to continue our
family tradition of providing quality products to our customers around the
globe.”

With these changes, effective Aug. 12,
David Ganong will be leaving the position of president and chief executive
officer, after a combined total of 33 years in those roles, to assume the newly
created position of executive vice-chair and will continue to provide active
support and advise to the CEO and the management team.

Nick Ganong will be moving into the new
position of vice-president of sales and business development. He will continue to
lead and guide the domestic sales team, the contract accounts group and contract
sales. Nick Ganong joined the company in 2003 after completing his business
degree and has worked in human resources, production planning, plant floor
management, supply chain management and most recently vice-president of sales
for Canada.
