New partner/president for Signature Passion

Joliette, Que. – Signature Passion, an industrial artisan bakery in Joliette, Quebec has secured a partneship with Pragma Capital, a boutique business restructuring and transitioning firm. In a news release it was announced that Pragma Capital’s managing partner Marc-Andre Pouliot has taken on the role of president of Signature Passion. The release indicates that Pouliot’s intention is to scale up the company’s core bakery business and add depth to its management team.

Also joining Signature Passion as its new chairman of the board is Tom Kaneb, also part of the management team with Pragma Capital.

“Our entire executive team is excited about this new partnership which will provide Signature Passion with additional resources to accelerate its growth plan to become a leader in artisanal bakery in North America,” said Signature Passion’s chief operations officer Thierry Roca, in the release.

According to a 2014 article on the community news site l’action.com, Roca, along with partners, acquired Signature Passion from Dawn Food Company in November, 2011 and the company went through a restructuring in 2013 leading to positive results.

Responding to the new partnership with Pragma Capital, Marc Gosselin, president of Foodélice, a sales and marketing manufacturing agent which works closely with Signature Passion stated in the release: “Building on its high quality products, Signature Passion has been successful in pursuing new growth opportunities in the Quebec, Canadian and U.S. markets. This partnership will help in achieving the ambitious growth objectives Signature Passion has set for itself by accelerating product development and manufacturing capacity expansion.”
