
Canadian plastics firm sold to ORBIS

Dec. 26, 2008 –
The ORBIS Corporation, with a local plant in Urbana, Ohio, has acquired
Toronto-based Norseman Plastics Holdings Ltd., which serves the bakery
and dairy industries, making plastic bread trays and dairy containers.

Toronto-based Norseman Plastics Holdings Ltd., which serves the bakery and dairy industries, making plastic bread trays and dairy containers.
A subsidiary of
the Menasha Corporation, ORBIS has acquired one of its major
competitors, which serves market places other than the automobile
industry, said Tom Bissell, vice president of human resources for ORBIS.
"We
are in the process of taking some tools in that company's facilities
and transferring them into the Urbana location," Bissell said.
Norseman
has its headquarters in Toronto and has three plants
in the United States – in Michigan, Kansas and Florida. | FULL STORY
