Dec. 29, 2008, KITCHENER, Ont. – In Colombia, Carlos Gonzalez was the owner and operator of a successful restaurant. But he was forced to abandon his business when guerrilla fighters regularly extorted money from him.

Dec. 29, 2008, KITCHENER, Ont. – In Colombia, Carlos Gonzalez was the owner and operator of a successful restaurant. But he was forced to abandon his business when guerrilla fighters regularly extorted money from him.

Now, living in Kitchener with his family, he is reliving his dream.

He
is the proud owner of Carlito's Bakery and Café on Weber and Montgomery
streets, thanks to the help of members of the Stirling Avenue Mennonite
