AB Mauri Fleishmann’s to raise prices

July 12, 2011, Chesterfield, MO – AB Mauri Fleishmann’s will increase prices on all propionate products and chemical leaveners, as well as other select bakery ingredients, effective August 15.

Calcium and sodium propionate will increase five cents per pound, while increases for other select bakery ingredients will vary based directly on their different input costs.

“Our year-over-year cost increases have significantly outpaced pricing to our customers,” said Greg Strauss, vice-president of sales and business development for AB Mauri Fleishmann’s. “Like other ingredient manufacturers before us it is imperative for the health of our business to address these impacts.
