BAC Ont. Chapter to host session on allergen labeling

March 11, 2011, Mississauga, Ont. – The Ontario Chapter of the Baking Association of Canada (BAC) will host an information session about allergen labeling at its next chapter meeting on April 12.

Yin Lee, a senior program officer with the Consumer Protection Division of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) will be on hand to explain the new mandatory allergen labeling requirements, which come into effect on August 4.

The meeting will be held at Four Points by Sheraton, 6257 Airport Road in Mississauga, Ont. Cocktails will be served from 5:00-6:00, followed by dinner from 6:00-7:00 and then the information session, from 7:00-8:00.

The cost is $50.00 plus HST for members, and $60.00 plus HST for non-members.
