Entries at the competition were received from North America, Australia, Asia and Europe demonstrating the international recognition of the Awards and were judged by a panel of international chocolate experts and food journalists. The Academy of Chocolate was created in 2005 in England to campaign and promote a greater awareness of the journey from cocoa bean to bar, differentiating between fine chocolate and mass-produced chocolate confectionary.

Wild Sweets was also a proud recipient of the 2013 Best Chocolatiers & Confectioners in America Awards from TasteTV and the International Chocolate Salon, an organization based in San Francisco.
