Handtmann bakery is growing its sales and technology capabilities with the addition of two bakery sales specialists, one in Canada and another in the U.S.

Christian Strohm, with an engineering and applications background, will service markets in the province of Quebec and Eastern Canada, while Sean Gorman, experienced in capital equipment, bakery and other food and beverage-related sales, is responsible for 11 western states, Alaska and Hawaii.

In a company release, Graham Dalziel, business development and sales manager for Handtmann Canada, says the Canadian expansion is to “help us focus more on the unique characteristics of the premium bakery industry in Quebec where our equipment, with its gentle handling of inclusions and great flexibility for dividing so many different dough types is proving to be very useful,”

Dalziel also believes the expansion of technical capability within the bakery staff “is perfectly timed with the addition of the Handtmann Technology Centre now operating in our new headquarters facility in Waterloo, Ont.”
