Chatel named Lactalis Canada’s VP of quality assurance

Toronto – Lactalis Canada has appointed Stephane Chatel to the position of vice-president of quality assurance effective April 4. In this position, Chatel will oversee the planning, management and execution of quality management, quality control and food safety activities within Lactalis Canada.

“We’re delighted to have Stephane join Lactalis Canada as vice-president, quality assurance, and welcome his global industry experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety,” said Mark Taylor, president and CEO, Lactalis Canada.

“This is an exciting and transformative time at Lactalis Canada and I am thrilled about the opportunities ahead,” said Chatel, who brings over 30 years of food industry experience in quality, food safety, research and development to Lactalis Canada. In Canada, Stephane most recently served as vice-president of quality and food safety for Weston Foods’ fresh, ambient and frozen baked goods business. Prior to this, he was vice-president of quality, food safety and crisis management for the dairy and plant-based business of Danone Canada.

Chatel replaces current vice-president of quality assurance Jennifer Boyles who will retire in May 2022.
