Ancient Grains Conference featuring demonstrations set for July 25

Mark your calendars for July 25 to attend the Northern Crops Institute’s Ancient Grains Conference. The conference will provide an educational and promotional setting to explore the characteristics and uses of ancient grains, including hands-on baking, milling and agronomy demonstrations.

This year’s theme is Growing Into Our Future. Attendees will hear from speakers on the state of the ancient grains movement, the value chain, nutrition and more. There will also be hands-on baking, milling and agronomy demonstrations.

This conference is suitable for bakers, millers, food manufacturers, ancient grain innovators, and anyone interested in learning about the many benefits of ancient grains from the Great Plains.

The conference will take place at Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River, Minn. Participants will have the opportunity to bake in the kitchen using ancient grains during the hands-on demonstration, watch a stone milling demonstration, view agronomy plots, and take a tour of the Oliver Kelley Farm.
