Multivac Canada has announced an exclusive partnership agreement with Maschinenfabrik Laska, manufacturer of mixers, grinders, emulsifiers, bowl cutters and complete production lines, based in Traun, Austria, for the sales and support of the Laska equipment range across Canada starting Jan. 1, 2022.

The addition of the Laska equipment to Multivac Canada’s portfolio extends the reach of the company into the primary processing end of food production lines, especially within the meat industry. This agreement provides customers with options for preparation and processing equipment supply, from single machines through to fully integrated complete processing and packaging lines.

Maschinenfabrik Laska is a family-owned business established in 1880, initially supplying sausage skins and ingredients to local meat processors. Purchasing a new facility enabled them to also repair food machinery, which led them to commence manufacturing their own equipment in 1937.

Multivac Canada was established in 2007 to serve the entire Canadian market with its range of packaging, labelling, inspection and processing equipment, now also including Fritsch dough processing lines and Multivac’s own packaging materials. The company has large, provincially based sales and service teams covering the country. Customers will benefit from a wider coverage through larger sales and service networks but also have access to the comprehensive range of equipment offered, including systems and automation solutions and project management, Multivac Canada said in a news release.
