Lactalis Canada appoints Alexander Benedet vice-president of customer strategy and development

Toronto – Lactalis Canada, the Canadian company behind Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson and other brands, and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, has appointed Alexander Benedet vice-president, of customer strategy and development, effective Jan. 9.

Benedet will be responsible for building and leading the revenue growth management, ecommerce and shopper marketing, sales operations and business development teams under a newly created centre of excellence for the commercial function at Lactalis Canada.

“With Lactalis Canada’s continued growth and commitment to service excellence, Alexander will be integral to aligning sales processes and business development across our fluid, cheese and yogourt divisions and working closely with our key customers so that we can optimally deliver on their respective plans and strategies,” said Mark Taylor, president and CEO.

Benedet commented, “I look forward to contributing to Lactalis Canada’s growth and success and collaborating with our customers to bring the best of dairy to Canadians through our high-quality brands and products.”

Alexander Benedet has more than 20 years of experience in progressive leadership roles within consumer packaged goods. He most recently served as vice-president of sales strategy, capabilities and planning at General Mills.
