By The Baking Association of Canada

The Baking Association of Canada presents a variety of in-person technical baking, social networking, fundraising and business-building events throughout the year through #BACNational and its British Columbia, Prairie, Ontario and Atlantic chapters.

Among these activities are:

  • Town Hall Gatherings held across Canada where bakers discuss their challenges, successes and priorities, and share their products in an informal “show-and-tell” (there is no cost to attend these informal, informational meetings)
  • educational demonstrations by talented chefs where professional bakers and students meet to learn and connect as an industry
  • golf tournaments and social events such as hockey nights, dinner theatre, Nights at the Races and holiday dinners that connect the industry as a whole and help to raise funds for scholarships for baking and pastry students
  • Bakery Showcase where you are invited to attend the BAC’s annual general meeting, benefit from relevant educational sessions, baking demonstrations and a comprehensive trade show featuring baking-specific products, equipment and services

On Sept. 11 the Baking Association of Canada welcomed local bakers and baking industry suppliers and allied professionals to its Town Hall bakers gathering at Georgian College in Barrie, Ont.

These events are open to all working in the baking industry and at a discounted rate when you become a member of the BAC. In some cases, such as Town Hall Gatherings, there is no charge to attend.

Attend to connect with your peers, access information to help your baking business and make the industry stronger!
