Wonka theme for baking and sweets show

July 15, 2015, Toronto – Just like Charlie in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, you can take a tour of the best sweets and baked goods that Canada has to offer at this year’s Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show, presented by Redpath Sugar. This delicious and inspiring event returns to the Toronto Congress Centre (650 Dixon Road) Sept. 25-27, with the theme of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

With several inspiringthemed zones, special guests, demonstrations and hands-on classes, Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show offers an array of things to explore, discover and buy for Thanksgiving, Halloween, the holiday season, weddings, birthdays, dinner parties, intimate dinners or just to satisfy a sweet-tooth. The family zone helps children develop and share their passion for baking, while the Canadian Talent Showcase competitions, highlight this same ardor for both master chefs and passionate bakers. Since its inception in 2011, Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show has supported undiscovered Canadian talent and continues to bring some of the best and most skilled bakers in the country under one roof.

Celebrity guests to this year’s event include the Ace of Cakes Duff Goldman; Canadian celebrity chef Anna Olson; nationally acclaimed pastry chef from Chicago, Gale Gand; as well as cake and confection designer Sweetapolita.

Visitors to Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show can expect to see the most delectable and hottest trends as well as products from exhibitors in a range of categories including baking, sweets and confectionary, coffee and tea, kitchenware and pain relief. Back by popular demand is the Virgin Ice Baking Academy, created for people with a passion for baking, who are looking for inspiration. One-hour demonstrations are available as well as two-and-a-half hour hands-on classes.
