Aug. 30, 2013, WA – The Grain Foods Foundation is celebrating the back-to-school season with the launch of a website called Grains for Your Brain to educate consumers on the importance of grain-based foods.

This site features the most up-to-date information on grains, and the human body. While the debate continues on whether or not grains are helpful this informative site is designed to arm the average consumer with common sense and health-expert-backed strategies for living well.

“With students heading back to school, it is the perfect time to reinforce the importance of a well-balanced diet that includes grains. In fact, whole grain consumption positively impacts cognitive function – something every child needs during the school day. The Grains For Your Brain website is a solid resource for consumers looking to understand the role grains play in your everyday health and wellbeing, ” said Sylvia Melendez-Klinger, RN and Grain Foods Foundation science advisory board member, in a press release.
