Too Nice to Slice gearing up for cake competition

May 16, 2011, Kitchener, ON – Too Nice To Slice will hold its second annual cake competition on July 10.

The competition, which welcomes competitors in three divisions, will take place at the shop, located at 14 Hoffman St. in Kitchener, Ont. Participants may enter a maximum of two cakes – one in either the pro or hobbyist divisions and one in the open category. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place finishers, as well as a People’s Choice pick in each division.

The divisions are as follows:

Professional, based around the theme of fantasy wedding couple
Hobbyist, also based around the theme of fantasy wedding couple
Open, featuring an under the sea theme

Special guest judges Courtney Clark and Kendon Smith of Cake Nouveau will be on hand to evaluate entries and participate in the fun.

The day will also feature demos, treat and special children’s activities, as well as sales, special offers, draws and giveaways.
