Calgary – On Feb 28, over 300 people enjoyed the sweet samplings of the 2016 Pastry Chef Showcase hosted by The Pastry Chef Guild of Alberta. The event was held at the Heritage Park Historical Village in Calgary.
With a baker’s dozen of exhibitors, local breweries and a selection of wines, guests mingled throughout the evening voting for their favorites, shared Clark Adams, baking and pastry arts instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).
The showcase helped raise funds to support student scholarships at SAIT. For the first time ever at this bi-annual event, the students of SAIT won the coveted People’s Choice Award ($1500 cash) sponsored by Lindt Chocolate and Dawn Foods.
