Sweden’s AAK investing heavily in rapeseed oil

for the production of rapeseed oil for foodstuffs and biodiesel in
Karlshamn. The new plant will have the capacity to crush and refine all
Swedish rapeseed, making it the largest in any of the Nordic countries.
The EU has published a new impact assessment on its 10 per cent biofuel
obligation, reporting cereal and oilseed prices are likely to rise as a
result of greater demand for feedstock – with 20 per cent of production
to come from imports by 2020.
