Ricardo Media and Lallemand Baking partner to reach consumer market

Montreal – Lallemand Baking has introduced a baker’s yeast for the Canadian consumer market under the Ricardo brand and founded on a partnership between Lallemand Baking, Ricardo Media and Sobeys.
Ricardo Media, founded in 2002, is a food company for consumers with strong family values whose mission is to inspire, educate and bring people together to cook and share meals through magazines, books, a daily television show and website.
“At Ricardo, our mission is to promote the pleasure of cooking and eating together. For over a year, we have seen the enthusiasm of Canadians in baking their own bread. It is therefore with great pride that we partnered with Lallemand to offer a top-quality, locally produced yeast to meet the baking and pastry needs of the home baker – and right before the holiday baking begins,” said Mireille Arteau, vice-president of operations for Ricardo Media, in a news release.
Following collaboration between the Lallemand Baking and Ricardo Media teams, the 6 x 8 g convenient sachets of baker’s yeast for all baked goods was launched this September. The product is sold exclusively in stores across Quebec at Sobeys, a major retailer in Canada. Packed at the Lallemand Baking facility in Montreal, the product is proudly Aliments du Québec verified.
