April 5, 2013 – Rational AG sees itself as a specialist in hot food
preparation in the world’s professional kitchens, and is celebrating 40
years of living up to the claim.

April 5, 2013 – Rational AG sees itself as a specialist in hot food preparation in the world’s professional kitchens, and is celebrating 40 years of living up to the claim.

Siegfried Meister, founder of the cooking appliance developing company, began producing equipment that offered new technology in 1973. He wanted to find a way to offer maximum benefits to those working in the food industry.

In 1976, Meister and his small team created the combi-steamer by adding steam to his hot dry air technology. In the following years, the combi-steamer changed production in large, commercial kitchens and influenced the entire industry.

"”It has been our objective to always offer our customers maximum benefits. Through the consistency of our company in hot food preparation, we have become a part of our target group,” says Dr. Günter Blaschke, chairman of the board of Rational AG. “We know the requirements and needs of our customers and are better to solve their problems and continuously improve their working world than others."

In 2011, Rational introduced the Self Cooking Center – Whitefficiency.

"It not only consumes much less energy than traditional cooking appliances, but it is especially flexible and easy to use," says Blaschke. "Above all, it is intelligent."

Blaschke is confident that Rational AG’s 40-year-old success story will last well into the future.
