June 10, 2011, Peterborough, ON – Production at Stickling’s Specialty Bakery is expanding, creating 13 new jobs and strengthening the local economy.
A $213,000 investment from Ontario’s Rural Economic Development Program will allow the bakery to install state-of-the-art equipment and develop new packaging and marketing material.
“We’re very excited about this project, which is enhancing our production and taking our business to the next level,” says Michael Walter, president of Stickling’s Specialty Bakery. “Thanks to support from the Ontario government, Stickling’s Bakery will be able to offer our award-winning breads to even more customers throughout Ontario, as we have been doing for more than 70 years.”
The expansion project is scheduled to be completed by March 2012.
