Leda Strand has been appointed director of technology applications and industrial ingredients for Wixon, Inc., manufacturer of a comprehensive line of ingredients for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. She will lead the Mag-nifique™ Technology applications research, solving customers’ specific food issues using Wixon’s technology.

Wixon also celebrates its centennial this year, with the theme, “100 Years and We’re Just Getting Started,” slated around its spice, flavour and food technologies.

Griffith Worldwide president and CEO, Hervé de la Vauvre, announced Chris Savage’s appointment as president of their Canadian facility.  As the former president of Griffith Laboratories Central and South America, Savage was praised by de la Vauvre for having been “very successful in leading that region to record levels of financial and business growth.”  Griffith is a global manufacturer of food ingredient blends, providing a range of taste and texture sensations to food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers.

In addition, Jennifer Convery has been promoted to general manager, Griffith Laboratories USA.  She will be responsible for the management of the commercial and manufacturing operations of that facility.
