Pantone’s 2019 Colour of The Year is cupcake-friendly

Pantone announced its Colour of The Year for 2019, and it’s perfect for icing, cupcakes and macarons.

The Colour of The Year is called, “Living Coral” and its pinkish-orange hue is ideal for bakers looking for more natural hues to add to their palette.

Pinks and coral shades are easy to create with natural food ingredients such as berries. Combining a combination of red found in strawberries and raspberries with yellow found in saffron and turmeric can create the right colour for “Living Coral.”

Many market research studies have found that clients are requesting clean label, natural ingredients, and using berries and spices is an excellent way to meet customer demands for this trend.
