November 29, 2007 – St. Paul, Minn. – The AACC International Foundation recently received a $42,000 donation from the Kellogg Company to establish the Kellogg Co. R&D Fellowship.

This donation from Kellogg will fund a permanently endowed graduate fellowship that will be awarded annually to an eligible graduate student who is pursuing a degree in grain science.

"This fellowship is a small thank-you from the Kellogg Company to students around the world who continue to drive science and technology forward and, in turn, make the entire food industry stronger," said Margaret Bath, vice president, corporate research, quality, and technology at Kellogg Company.

"The Kellogg Company has a rich history of corporate social responsibility. Our founder, W.K. Kellogg, sought to 'invest my money in people.' That legacy continues to guide Kellogg’s today," Bath said.

The first Kellogg Co. R&D Fellowship will be awarded in September 2008.

The AACC International Foundation provides undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships to students excelling in studies relevant to grain-based food science and technology. Since its inception, the foundation has supported more than 194 students.
