IBIE showcasing advanced products

Washington, D.C. – Building on a platform started at the last edition of the International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), this year IBIE 2016 will feature an expanded Innovation Showcase hosting 56 participants representing categories from ingredients and equipment to packaging and services. This year’s showcase is 15 per cent larger than the inaugural showcase in 2013.

“People come to our show to see what’s new and it’s our job to make it easy for them to find what they’re looking for,” said Michael Cornelis, Chair of IBIE in a release. IBIE will run in Las Vegas from October 8 thru 11.

“This year we’re really delivering on our promise,” added Cornelis. “It’s a record-breaking show with the largest show floor, largest number of exhibitors, largest innovation showcase and largest education program in IBIE’s history. That’s something we’re really proud of and something that will create tremendous value for attending companies.”

The innovation showcase will be prominently featured in the central lobby for attendees to shop and see what’s new prior to entering the Expo Hall. In addition, a new Innovation Spotlight Theater, located in IBIE’s new Idea LAB on the show floor, will provide a forum for exhibitors to conduct live presentations of their top innovations.
