In this role, Crain will be responsible for leading creative flavour labs in Comax's Melville headquarters and its new NJ Innovation Center expected to open in the fall of 2017. Crain role includes developing quality flavours, directing the daily operations of the creative staff and working side by side with the sales team to generate new business opportunities.

Calabretta Jr., CEO, Comax Flavors, in a news release.
Crain joins Comax Flavors with 35 years of flavour experience with positions at IFF/Ottens Flavors and Fritzsche Dodge & Olcott (BASF)/Givaudan Flavors. He most recently served as senior flavour chemist for the sweet goods team at IFF/Ottens.
Crain holds a bachelor's degree in natural sciences from Rider University. He is a certified member of the Society of Flavour Chemists and a member of the Institute of Food Technologists.
