Bakery Showcase 2019 sneak preview

Bakery Showcase 2019 is scheduled to be held between May 5 and 6, and features discussions that are relevant to anyone working in the food industry.

Among the  topics that will be discussed in the conference will be “Regulatory Overload: Is This the New Normal?” Paul Hetherington and Johanne Trudeau will discuss topics such as food labelling laws, cannabis edibles and healthy eating with regards to Canada’s Food Guide.

Any baker who has been in the industry in the last four years can attest to the difficulties in the labour shortage: A talk will be given by Elliott Gauthier aims to propose ways to address this staffing hurdle.

From trends in cannabis edibles to clean label issues, another panel will examine the challenges and the risk factors with trade with the United States, hosted by Dr. Sylvain Charlebois.
