New Sundown pear is made in Canada

May 31, 2011, Vineland, ON – The Vineland Growers Cooperative and Vineland Research and Innovation Centre are producing a new variety of pear.

The Harovin Sundown Pear boasts a light green skin, firm flesh and a unique sweetness.

The pear, which was developed by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, will be grown in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
