Larson Electronics releases explosion-proof lights

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience in the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of an explosion-proof LED light fixture for use in hazardous and flammable locations.

The EPL-48-2L-LED-G2-6C-EPP explosion-proof LED paint spray booth light fixture features two 28-watt T6 bulbs that can be controlled individually and produce 30 per cent more light than standard T8 bulbs.

This light has a T6 temperature rating and is four feet long with two LED lamps producing 7,000 lumens of light.

Each bulb produces 3,500 lumens of light at 98.21 lumens per watt. This light fixture is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; and Class I, Division 1 Groups A, B, C and D, and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G hazardous and flammable locations where combustible gases, vapours, dusts, fibres, and flyings could be present.

Larson Electronics’ explosion proof LED paint spray booth light fixture draws on only 0.47 amps at 120 volts AC and is universal voltage capable operating on voltages from 120V to 277V AC 50/60Hz without the need for modifications. The EPL-48-2L-LED-G2-6C-EPP is equipped with 6 feet of chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets.

This unit is mounted via a standard bracket end mounting system. Suitable applications include use in manufacturing plants, and more.
