Mettler-Toledo moves to new Canadian headquarters

Canadian headquarters to a new location in mid January of 2008.

Jan.2, 2008, Mississauga, Ont. – Mettler-Toledo Inc. will be moving Canadian headquarters to a new location in mid January of 2008. A leading global supplier of precision instruments and the world's largest manufacturer and marketer of weighing instruments, Mettler-Toledo's new Canadian home office is located at 2915 Argentia Road in West Mississauga, about 20km west of the current office location. This new site positions the business much closer to a core customer base and to their GTA employee base, 85 per cent of whom live west of the current site at Pearson International Airport. The 13,788 square foot facility will be home to the Canadian operations of Mettler-Toledo Inc. and sister company, Rainin Instrument LLC, Canada. 
"For a variety of reasons we are convinced that relocating our operations will provide us with a better base to serve the long term needs of our business and that of our sister company – RAININ Canada, while maintaining a competitive cost structure," said Canadian general manager, Mike Oreskovic.
The new location serves as the main offices for Canadian operations, including senior management, human resources, marketing, service, and shipping and receiving. In addition to being the main thoroughfare for new parts and customer orders, 2000 square feet of the warehouse space is dedicated to on-site Canadian weights and measures approval for new products. Fulfilling similar obligations for the laboratory business, the new building will house a dedicated calibration lab. This lab will serve as a vibration-free room, allowing trained service technicians to stabilize and calibrate customer balances, a mandatory certification for balances used to measure miniscule amounts in research and pharmaceutical applications.
