Loblaws launching new concept in TO

November 24, 2011, Toronto – Loblaws is gearing up for the grand opening of its newest location, featuring a complete artisan bakery, patisserie, and tea emporium.

The new store, located at Maple Leaf Gardens, 60 Carlton St., will feature:

The Artisan Oven ACE Bakery's artisan breads are made from scratch every day using the simplest all-natural ingredients. Loblaws is also introducing ACE's back-to-basics rustic Italian pugliese crusty bread and other varieties made in a stone-deck oven. As the first store to feature a complete ACE Artisan Bakery, Loblaws will offer a bakery experience you won't be able to resist.

Chocolate chiselled by the chunk The patisserie is home to irresistible handcrafted chocolate lovingly made with all-natural ingredients. It features a mouth-watering selection of cakes and cupcakes made from scratch, not to mention ice cream cakes, cheesecakes, donuts, muffins, chocolate pops and more. Shoppers can watch as chocolatiers chisel pieces from a giant block, or dip fruit, pretzels and more into perfectly melted chocolate.

Expand your tea palate The Tea Emporium's tea experts have scoured the globe for more than 10 years to curate a selection of the finest teas. Up to 10 different sample teas will be brewed through the day, and staff will steep any loose-leaf tea to go, along with a wide selection of specialty tea drinks.

Loblaws' Maple Leaf Gardens location will open at 8:00 am on Nov. 30.
