Larson Electronics unveils new surge protector

The surge protector is protected against intrusion of water, flour dust, debris, corrosion and external formation of ice.

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience with industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a surge protection device for use with electrical systems and sensitive equipment in rough work environments.

This device is Type 1 SPD and is compatible with three-phase 400Y/203V AC Wyn-n 50/60Hz and is rated at 40kA maximum surge current per phase.

The MT-SRG-T1SP-3PH-40KA-400Y.230-N4X surge protection device comes equipped with a Wyn-n 4-wire configuration and operates with three-phase 400Y/230V AC 50/60Hz. This device is rated at 40kA maximum surge current per phase and caters to up to -30dB EMI/RFI. Normal operating conditions and fault conditions on L1, L2 and L3 are indicated via a diagnostic LED on the front of the device. This unit is compatible with surface mounting applications.

Larson Electronics’ surge protection device carries a NEMA 4X rating and is made of steel. This unit is protected against intrusion of water, flour dust, debris, corrosion and external formation of ice. This unit is designed for installation between the secondary side of the utility service transformer and the line side of the system’s overcurrent protective device. This unit accommodates #12 AWG wire leads with wiring passed through a 0.5” opening on the back of the unit. Suitable applications include industrial settings.
