Cologne, Germany — The trade event Anuga will welcome India as its partner country in 2017. From October 7-11, Indian suppliers will present a wide variety of food and beverages at the international food and beverage show. The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFTI) – the Government of India – is responsible for the partner country activities of India at Anuga.
“We are very much looking forward to the collaboration with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries in the scope of Anuga. The trade fair offers the Indian food and beverage sector an excellent projection and development area,” said Katharina C. Hamma, chief operating officer, Koelnmesse GmbH, in a news release.
Over the past years, the number of exhibitors at Anuga who come from India have increased. In 2005, only 45 exhibitors from India exhibited at Anuga. In 2015 there was 135 Indian exhibitors. Around 7,200 exhibitors from 100 countries as well as 160,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the 34th Anuga.
