IDDBA publishes research on flavour trends
January 21, 2019 By Bakers Journal

The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) has published their latest consumer research report for the upcoming year.
What’s in Store 2019 focuses on consumer insights into trends on flavour. The IDDBA has broken the flavour trends down to four basic categories:
- Health: Through ingredients that offer functional befits like turmeric, ginseng and ginger
- Nostalgia: Found in comfort foods or classic recipes.
- Adventure: Global spices like gochujang, or local flares like “Nashville Hot.”
- Nature: Aromatic herbs, seeds, and artisanal goods.
The association examines the dairy, deli, and bakery industries to craft What’s in Store for convenience with valuable information and consumer insights.
What’s in Store 2019 explores findings in the latest edition of the annual trends. Figures can be downloaded for presentation at What’s in Store Online, holding more than 150 downloadable graphs and tables.
IDDBA members receive a free copy of What’s in Store as part of their membership. Additional copies may be purchased; the price per copy is $99 for members and $399 for non-members. To learn more and to purchase one or more copies, click here.
