Icewine and chocolate share spotlight in Niagara
The Canadian Food and Wine Institute at Niagara College is hosting Decadence, a national student pastry competition and themed event from Feb. 18 to 20.
Feb. 2, 2011, Niagara-on-the-lake, Ont. – The Canadian Food and Wine Institute at Niagara College is hosting Decadence, a national student pastry competition and themed event from Feb. 18 to 20.
This unique event aims to draw the best and brightest pastry students from across the country for a competition that will showcase two theme ingredients; chocolate and icewine. The competition is wrapped around a weekend of chocolate and icewine exploration at Niagara College that includes a gala, tastings, cooking classes, a chocolate camp for kids and more. Workshops include a master chocolate class hosted by Belcolade Chocolate.
