president George Haddad will be honoured next month in celebration of his
upcoming 80th birthday, his decades of service to the community and
his unflagging dedication to the baking industry.

TORONTO – Handi Foods
president George Haddad will be honoured next month in celebration of his
upcoming 80th birthday, his decades of service to the community and
his unflagging dedication to the baking industry.
The gala event will take place June
19 at St. George Community Centre, 9116 Bayview Ave., Richmond Hill, Ont.
Cocktails are at 6:30 p.m. with a dinner to follow at 7:30. Dress is black-tie
optional.
“George is one of the most ethical
and entrepreneurial men that I have ever known,” says Handi Foods Ltd.
vice-president Jerry Chizick. “George started this business from scratch in
1981 and in the 30 years since, has made it one of the largest pita bread bakeries
in North America. He deserves the honour.”
The event will
also feature musical entertainment by Juno nominee Dr. George Sawa, master of traditional Middle Eastern
music.
Event attendance donations are $125
