gingerbreadfamilybjNovember 17, 2011, Calgary – Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery has baked up a gingerbread holiday treat in support of Habitat for Humanity.

From Nov. 12 until Jan. 3, 2012, all Good Earth Cafés throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan will sell seasonal packages of fresh-baked gingerbread families. One dollar from the sale of each gingerbread family will go to the local Habitat for Humanity. Each package includes two "adult" cookies and one "child" cookie, and sells for $7.50.

"Whether for yourself or as a gift, buying our gingerbread families is a wonderful way to support Habitat for Humanity in building affordable homes for families," says Nan Eskenazi, co-founder of Good Earth. "The cookies make a thoughtful gift for friends, neighbors, teachers, hostesses, coworkers and others."

Gingerbread Families Helping Families has been raising funds and awareness for community organizations for over ten years, and for Habitat for Humanity for the past three years.
