for scholarship fundraiser

George Brown College pastry chefs and business students will be showcasing their skills at a special food event on Friday, Dec. 10, to raise scholarship funds for both programs.

Nov. 4, 2010, Toronto – George Brown College pastry chefs and business students will be showcasing their skills at a special food event on Friday, Dec. 10, to raise scholarship funds for both programs.

The second year Baking and Pastry Arts students and third year Bachelor of Applied Business students will be organizing an evening of fabulous desserts, cheese, bread’s, preserves, alcoholic and non-alcohol pairings. The event takes place at the school’s Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts at 300 Adelaide St. East in Toronto from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Attendees must be 19 or older.

Tickets can be purchased for $50 at the George Brown Bookstore (200 King St. West, Toronto) or online at Georgebrown.ca/bookstore.

All proceeds will go towards scholarships for both programs.
