This Canadian initiative aims highlight the country’s regional specialties and culinary talent kicks off with a tribute to its founder, Anita Stewart. Stewart had started the movement to bring attention not only to the agri-business industries but the creativity of chefs who explored the culture and traditions behind each meal. The day celebrates professional chefs, farmers and food processors.

To support farmers and the chefs who know that “Canada Is Food,” the initiative has created an interactive map that promotes Canadian restaurants, cafés and bakeries. Get your bakeries name and address on the map: It will be updated daily until July 31, 2021.
