First National Bagel Day celebrated on January 15, 2019

Pizza has its own day, and so does chocolate. Today, the bagel was recognized and registered in Chase’s Calendar of Events as having its own national day.

January 15 will now by observed in the United States and Canada as National Bagel Day. The Chase Calendar of Events was established in 1957 as a comprehensive American reference guide to National, religious and commercial holidays.

The U.S. company, Thomas’ Bakery plans to celebrate the day with giant Thomas’ toaster where party attendees can “pop-out” and a photo opportunity with a giant bagel. Thomas’ plans to give away free bagels for a year to its American fans, today.
