Federico Martinez appointed Latin American VP

Oct. 2, 2012 – Federico Martinez has joined Markel Bakery Group (MBG), Richmond, VA as vice-president for Latin America.

Oct. 2, 2012 – Federico Martinez has joined Markel Bakery Group (MBG), Richmond, VA as vice-president for Latin America. In this new leadership position, Martinez will be responsible for the strategic direction, business development and asset management in the region for the MBG companies – AMF Bakery Systems, Reading Bakery Systems, and Tromp Bakery Equipment.

Prior to joining Markel Bakery Group, he spent more than 12 years with Cargill in the food ingredients and food processing business. He worked in Cargill’s strategy and business development group and most recently was the general manager for Cargill’s corn milling business in Mexico. Earlier, he was a manager at Dow Chemical Company in Mexico City.

Martinez received a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a master’s degree from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
