
Jan. 13, 2010 – Luxury chocolate maker Lindt & Sprüngli invites culinary professionals across Canada to submit recipes for a competition being held in conjunction with the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
International accolades will be up for grabs as world renowned Swiss chefs create your best
recipe on the world stage during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic
Games. You will also have the chance to win a year's supply of couverture
and a $250 gift card to Lindt & Sprüngli stores or a $250 gift
basket of Lindor products, all provided by the world’s most famous
luxury chocolate company, Lindt & Sprüngli.
All you have
to do is e-mail your best recipe that includes Lindt & Sprüngli
chocolate to chocolate@houseofswitzerland.org and answer a few
questions.
On Feb. 14, during the Vancouver 2010
Winter Olympic Games, the House of Switzerland Canada 2010 in Vancouver
and Whistler will celebrate the Valentine’s Day holiday with
a celebration of chocolate. Swiss chefs will prepare the three
finalist recipes and a celebrity culinary panel of judges will select
the winner in Vancouver and the public will judge the winner in
Whistler.

How to Enter & Win
One
recipe per participant must be e-mailed to
chocolate@houseofswitzerland.org along with (1) a statement about why
you love chocolate; (2) your full name; (3) birthday; (4) city; and (5)
occupation
Key Dates
Jan. 11, 2010: Competition opens and submissions are accepted
Feb. 1, 2010: Competition closes. Three finalists will be selected by Lindt &Sprüngli chocolatiers and notified of their selection
Feb. 14, 2010: Winners are judged and announced at the House of Switzerland
Submission Criteria
- Recipes must include Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate as one ingredient
- Recipes must fall under the confectionary, pastry or desert category
- Recipes must be submitted electronically to chocolate@houseofswitzerland.org and will be considered public information
- Submissions must include (1) a statement about why the participant
loves chocolate; (2) full name; (3) birthday; (4) city; (5) occupation; (6) phone number; and (7) e-mail address
- Participants must be willing to participate in media interviews, if selected as a finalist
- Only finalists will be notified
Prizes
The first-place winner in Vancouver will be selected by a celebrity
judging panel and will win a year's supply of couverture and a $250 gift
card to Lindt & Sprüngli stores. The first-place
winner in Whistler will be selected by restaurant patrons at the
Mountain Club and will win a $250 gift basket of Lindor products
